About the role#
This 11-week internship provides hands-on experience in managing travel center operations. You will work alongside leaders to learn how to run facility operations, manage teams, and provide customer service. The program focuses on real-world skills to prepare you for a potential career in retail management.
What you'll do#
- Train across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
- Learn to drive sales, manage costs, and support store profitability.
- Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and maintaining operational standards.
- Practice team leadership, staffing, and employee development.
- Help enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
- Collaborate on a cross-functional project with other interns and department leaders.
- Gain experience resolving customer issues.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2- or 4-year degree program.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, Human Resources, hospitality, or a related field.
- Confidence interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to navigate computer programs and technology tools.
- Physical ability to talk, hear, move around, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to pass additional screenings such as a motor vehicle check or DOT physical if required.
