About the role#
This 11-week internship provides hands-on experience in managing high-volume travel centers. You will work alongside store leaders to learn about food service, truck care, and facility operations. The program is designed to build your leadership skills and prepare you for a career in retail management.
What you'll do#
- Participate in training across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
- Develop business skills by learning how to drive sales, manage costs, and support profitability.
- Learn practices for team leadership, staffing, and employee development.
- Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and operational standards.
- Gain experience delivering customer service and resolving issues.
- Help enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
- Collaborate on a cross-functional project with other interns and department leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2- or 4-year degree program in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
- Confidence interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to navigate computer programs, systems, and technology tools.
- Willingness to learn by doing in a customer-focused environment.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including moving around and lifting up to 50 pounds.
