About the role#
This 11-week internship program provides a foundation in retail knowledge and leadership competencies. You will work on real projects that impact the business and present your findings to senior executives. The program includes an executive speaker series, professional development training, and networking events. During the second half of the program, you will serve as an Intern Team Leader, taking responsibility for business results, team member engagement, and the customer experience.
What you'll do#
- Plan, direct, and supervise team members in daily operations.
- Mentor and coach team members to meet sales and service goals.
- Implement strategies to drive store sales and improve customer service.
- Manage department sales, shrink, and the profit and loss statement.
- Maintain store appearance and product presentation standards.
- Model friendly service and promote a safe work environment.
- Communicate with customers and team members throughout the store.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, specifically in Business Administration or Operations Management.
- A strong drive for results and a focus on customer needs.
- Ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively.
- Leadership experience from work or extracurricular activities is strongly preferred.
- Prior retail experience is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- A passion for retail and a desire to pursue a career in store leadership.
