About the role#
This 11-week internship program provides a foundation in retail knowledge and store leadership. You will work on projects that impact the business, participate in executive speaker series, and attend networking events. The program is designed as a path toward future store leadership roles. During the second half of the internship, you will serve as an Intern Team Leader, where you will manage business results, team engagement, and the customer experience.
What you'll do#
- Plan, direct, and supervise daily operations within store departments.
- Implement strategies to drive sales, improve customer service, and meet customer needs.
- Spend the majority of your time on the store floor communicating with customers and team members.
- Mentor and coach team members, including onboarding new hires and ensuring training is complete.
- Support your department in managing the P&L, controlling shrink, and hitting sales goals.
- Maintain store appearance, focusing on product presentation and company standards during prime shopping hours.
- Model fast and friendly customer service while promoting a safe work environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Business Administration.
- A strong desire to enter a career in store leadership.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Prior retail experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in work or extracurricular activities is strongly preferred.
- Skills in decision quality, effective communication, and relationship building.
- An action-oriented mindset with a drive for results.
