    About the role#

    As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at MetOx International, you will work from our headquarters in Houston, Texas. This position supports the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems used in our semiconductor manufacturing and superconducting technology projects. You will report to the Manager of Mechanical Engineering and gain hands-on experience by working alongside our engineering staff.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for Balance of Plant systems.
    • Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks.
    • Assist with basic engineering analysis and interpret simulation outputs, such as FEA or CFD results.
    • Prepare technical documentation, drawings, and reports to assist with project execution.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to turn requirements into design solutions.
    • Participate in design discussions and technical reviews.

    What you'll need#

    • Active enrollment in a bachelor degree program for mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
    • Sophomore standing or higher at an accredited university.
    • Proficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software.
    • Ability to read and interpret FEA or CFD results.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Houston, Texas.
    • The position follows a rolling term schedule.
    • Please note that we do not offer visa sponsorship for this role.
