About the role#
As a Student Intern at The Elmwoods, you will support building occupancy and tenant relations. You will manage the leasing process for available suites and assist with marketing efforts to ensure the property remains competitive. This role involves direct interaction with prospective and current tenants in an office setting.
What you'll do#
- Inspect vacant suites and coordinate necessary repairs or staging before showings.
- Screen applicants, perform credit and employment checks, and manage leasing paperwork.
- Greet guests, respond to inquiries, and maintain an inviting office environment.
- Monitor local competition and suggest marketing strategies to the Manager.
- Track rental leads, guest cards, and daily traffic using the Yardi dashboard.
- Prepare move-in packages and orient new tenants to the building.
- Produce weekly rental reports for management.
- Handle general administrative tasks like mail distribution, photocopying, and office supply management.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma, with post-secondary education in Marketing considered an asset.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Familiarity with MS Office.
- Experience with Yardi is an asset.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
