About the role#
As a Public Affairs Early Talent Intern, you will spend 12 months gaining hands-on experience in the Patient Access and Public Affairs department. You will work on healthcare policy research, advocacy campaigns, and sustainability initiatives. This role reports to the Associate Director of Public Affairs and provides exposure to government affairs, market access, and communications functions.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and execution of public affairs strategies that advance patient needs.
- Conduct research and environmental scanning on healthcare access, life sciences innovation, and chronic disease policy.
- Coordinate project plans, meeting logistics, timelines, and deliverable tracking.
- Prepare briefing notes, key messages, policy briefs, and stakeholder summaries.
- Support engagement with patient organizations, community partners, and healthcare stakeholders.
- Maintain planning tools and project records to ensure consistency across the team.
What you'll need#
- A recent college certificate, undergraduate, or graduate degree in public policy, political management, health policy, communications, political science, public administration, business, sustainability, or life sciences.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to synthesize information into clear materials.
- Solid organization, prioritization, and follow-up skills to manage multiple deliverables.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to conduct research and organize information.
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and digital collaboration tools.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and learn quickly.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with an annual base salary range of $56,850.00 to $85,280.00.
