About the role#
This is a full-time, paid student experience for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site at one of our locations to gain hands-on experience in human resources, payroll, and talent management. This program is designed to help you apply your academic studies to real-world projects while working alongside professionals in the machinery manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
- Support employees by answering HR-related questions and providing customer service.
- Plan and coordinate employee social activities and community initiatives.
- Develop and implement e-learning marketing plans and manage internal training courses.
- Assist with the deployment of employee engagement surveys and track change initiatives.
- Manage tuition and relocation reimbursement processes for students.
- Maintain payroll records, audit payroll calculations, and support data validation.
- Handle confidential employee information and files, including Personal Health Information.
- Determine leave of absence eligibility and coordinate return-to-work requests.
- Create communications for company events and internal news.
- Develop and maintain process flows, guidelines, and user procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior.
- Pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to change.
- Proficiency with basic computer skills and ability to follow written instructions.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
