About the role#
As an HR Operations Intern, you will support the HR service desk and contribute to core operational processes. This role is based at our facility in Dayton, Minnesota. You will work on a full-time basis, gaining hands-on experience with HR systems, compliance, and employee support while working directly with our team.
What you'll do#
- Answer HR phone calls and emails to assist employees and managers with routine questions.
- Manage HR tickets and direct complex inquiries to the appropriate team members.
- Support Workday processes, including data updates, approvals, and transaction tracking.
- Assist with onboarding tasks such as first-day paperwork and new hire communications.
- Maintain HR documentation, including knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct HR data audits and file maintenance to support compliance tracking.
- Prepare routine reports for HR partners and managers.
- Identify process gaps and help document improvements to existing workflows.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in human resources, business, organizational leadership, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and follow documented processes.
- Comfort speaking with employees over the phone to provide support.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Previous office, customer service, or administrative experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Workday or other HR systems is helpful but not required.
