    About the role#

    This Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op position offers a chance to apply your engineering coursework to real-world projects. You will work within a Strategic Business Unit to support production, analyze operational layouts, and contribute to team-based initiatives. This is a paid, full-time role based on-site in Dayton, Minnesota, spanning the Summer and Fall of 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide production support for machining and assembly areas.
    • Troubleshoot issues and provide technical assistance.
    • Evaluate the need for machine or assembly area upgrades.
    • Participate in capital equipment justification.
    • Review operational layouts and suggest improvements.
    • Assist with the selection and implementation of tooling and fixtures.
    • Engage in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and quality improvements.
    • Report man-hour estimates and adjust to changing priorities.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
    • A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
    • Mechanical aptitude and a desire for hands-on work.
    • Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD.
    • Experience with 3D printers.
    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

    • Term: Summer 2027 and Fall 2027.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour.
