    About the role#

    Butterball is offering a 10 to 12 week summer internship for students interested in supply chain operations. You will work from our headquarters in Garner, North Carolina, supporting projects that align with your skills and professional interests. This program aims to develop future leaders within the food processing and manufacturing industry.

    What you'll do#

    • Build, refine, and run scheduling and planning models to ensure product flow meets demand.
    • Partner with supply chain team members on various initiatives.
    • Help design, document, and implement improvements for Microsoft Power BI, SAP, and TMS systems.
    • Provide support and training for internal supply chain tools.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program for Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
    • Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2030.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
    • Strong analytical and programming skills, specifically using Excel, Power Query, and Macros.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings.
    • A valid drivers license and reliable personal transportation.
    • Willingness to travel to other locations as needed.
    • A basic understanding of Lean and Six Sigma principles is preferred.
    • Experience or knowledge in inventory, production, transportation, or material planning is preferred.
