About the role#
This Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op position offers a chance to apply your engineering coursework to real-world applications. You will work within a Strategic Business Unit and Manufacturing Cell, providing ideas, inputs, and analysis as a project team member. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Provide general production support for machining and assembly areas.
- Participate in hands-on troubleshooting and provide technical assistance.
- Help evaluate the need for machine or assembly area upgrades.
- Participate in capital equipment justification.
- Review and analyze standards and operational layouts to suggest improvements.
- Assist in selecting and implementing tooling and fixtures for machining and assembly jobs.
- Participate in cost of quality improvements, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
- Report man-hour estimates.
- React to changing priorities in a timely manner.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree program for Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable engineering program.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
- Mechanical aptitude and a desire for hands-on work.
- Experience with CAD software, such as AutoCAD.
- Experience with 3D printers.

- Location: Anoka, Minnesota, USA.
- Terms: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour.
