About the role#
The Toro Company is hiring an HR Strategy & Talent Intern for a 12-week program during the summer of 2027. This full-time, on-site position in Bloomington, Minnesota, provides exposure to HR business partner responsibilities and specialized areas including talent management, learning and development, and talent acquisition. The program runs from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with HR projects including career pathing and development programs.
- Track progress for performance review processes.
- Create HR tools and job aids for employees and leaders.
- Gather headcount data to understand the partnership between HR and Finance.
- Format materials and conduct research for talent management programs.
- Support engagement survey reporting and develop templates for learning and development.
- Observe recruitment planning and participate in talent acquisition meetings.
- Shadow team members during talent conversations and engagement meetings.
- Sit in on leadership discussions regarding workforce planning and organizational design.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Status as a sophomore or junior with plans to return to school after the summer.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A strong interest in HR strategy, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
- Ability to work in an adaptable, flexible, and detail-oriented manner.
- Professional demeanor with a focus on customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
