About the role#
As a National Account Manager for the Hardware & Co-Op channel, you will own the P&L and drive sales performance for Toro’s residential mass business. You will manage key retail relationships, develop annual business plans, and oversee channel marketing efforts. This role requires managing a Sales Analyst and collaborating across departments to ensure shipment and retail goals are met.
What you'll do#
- Develop and execute annual business plans to achieve sales and profitability goals for residential product categories.
- Manage relationships with key account stakeholders at organizations like Ace Hardware, Grainger, and Do-It-Best.
- Lead corporate account management and coordinate retail field sales execution.
- Supervise a Sales Analyst responsible for forecasting, order management, and business intelligence reporting.
- Partner with the residential marketing team to review product lines, pricing, and new product launches.
- Establish and track key performance indicators including profit margins, inventory targets, and promotional success.
- Manage marketing budgets and coordinate retail media, digital campaigns, and loyalty programs.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing. An MBA is preferred.
- Five to ten years of experience in sales and marketing management, including P&L responsibility.
- Proven ability to develop and execute annual business and product category plans.
- Experience leading sales and marketing for large retail accounts, including both store and e-commerce channels.
- Strong analytical skills to translate data into actionable programs that drive retail velocity.
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and manage complex negotiations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Bloomington, Minnesota.
- The role operates on a hybrid work schedule.
- Travel is required for approximately 25-50% of the time to support business plan execution.
- You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
