About the role#
The Sales Intern position at RDO Equipment Co. provides a foundation for students to develop skills necessary for a career in equipment sales. This part-time, paid role is designed for students typically before their senior year of college. You will rotate through the Parts, Service, Sales, and Management departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of dealership operations and company processes.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through various departments to observe daily workflows and team dynamics.
- Develop sales skills including relationship building, product knowledge, and inventory management.
- Learn to navigate internal company systems and processes.
- Participate in customer interactions, team meetings, and company-sponsored training.
- Maintain a professional image while following safety protocols and supporting your team.
What you'll need#
- A self-starter mindset with a strong desire to learn and contribute.
- A customer-first attitude and a commitment to professional service.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Comfort using computers, Microsoft Office tools, and CRM platforms.
- Valid work authorization for the United States. Please note that we do not provide sponsorship.
