About the role#
The Human Resources Intern provides support for various HR tasks and projects. You will help with recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and team member engagement. This role requires you to model Vermeer characteristics, including a caring culture, agility, customer focus, and stewardship.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the team member lifecycle, including hiring, new hire orientation, and onboarding.
- Support HR Business Partners with investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
- Research and provide recommendations on special HR projects.
- Promote the use of tools and technologies to improve HR solution delivery.
What you'll need#
- A High School diploma and current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Associate's degree program in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time-management, organizational, and project management abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with care.
- Capability to work well both independently and in a team.
- Professionalism when assisting customers and co-workers.
- Previous internship experience is a plus, as is exposure to HR disciplines like compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position located on-site in Pella, Iowa.
- The term is rolling.
