About the role#
As an intern on the Central Operations Strategy team, you will work with the Telephony Product Owner to support projects from planning through delivery. This role provides hands-on exposure to business analysis and project management. You will help coordinate tasks, document requirements, conduct research, and contribute to testing and stakeholder communications.
What you'll do#
- Support project coordination to ensure timely delivery and alignment with project scope.
- Research industry practices, competitor approaches, and operational trends.
- Gather, document, and maintain business requirements, rules, and process flows.
- Develop testing plans and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by logging issues and tracking resolutions.
- Prepare project updates, visual materials, and stakeholder communications.
- Collaborate with Operations, IT, and Telecom teams to validate documentation.
- Track and report on project milestones, deliverables, and key decisions.
- Organize stakeholder feedback to support process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary degree program in Business, Communications, Project Management, User Experience, or a related field.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize findings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- A problem-solving mindset and a curiosity to learn.
- Preferred: Coursework or experience in business analysis, process mapping, or project coordination.
- Preferred: Familiarity with journey mapping, requirements gathering, diagramming tools, and project management software like Wrike, Asana, Jira, or Trello.
- Preferred: Basic knowledge of SQL and experience working with large datasets.
- Preferred: Previous internship or part-time work experience in a professional setting.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role based in Nottingham, Maryland.
- The position is full-time with a rolling term.
- Compensation is $18.00 to $20.85 per hour.
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday.
