About the role#
As a summer 2027 intern with the Substation and Power Generation team, you will contribute to real-world engineering projects. This role provides hands-on experience in power delivery, allowing you to apply your academic knowledge to professional engineering challenges.
What you'll do#
- Perform CAD design tasks while following established standards.
- Assist with protection schemes and control wiring.
- Work on physical arrangements and protection for medium, high, and extra high voltage systems.
- Conduct lightning protection analysis and evaluate load breaking mechanisms.
- Design substation structures and foundations.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Solid problem-solving and math skills.
