About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Manhattan, Kansas. You will work on-site with our Site Design team, which handles land development projects ranging from residential and commercial sites to schools and industrial facilities. This role provides hands-on experience by integrating you directly into project teams alongside our experienced engineers.
What you'll do#
- Create construction plans including site layout, grading, stormwater, and utilities.
- Collaborate with experienced staff and engineers on active client projects.
- Perform research and write technical reports.
- Travel to job sites as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in civil engineering.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
