About the role#
Olsson is looking for a summer 2027 intern to join our Site Design team in North Kansas City. You will work on real projects alongside our engineers, gaining hands-on experience in land development for commercial, residential, and industrial sites. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the creation of construction plans for various sites.
- Design site layouts, grading plans, stormwater systems, and utilities.
- Perform project-related research and write technical reports.
- Travel to job sites to support field operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a civil engineering degree program.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
