About the role#
OPEX Corporation is seeking a Technical Writing Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This role is based at our facility in Plano, Texas. You will contribute to our team by updating and creating documentation for warehouse automation products.
What you'll do#
- Create technical content using MadCap Flare.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop or revise documentation.
- Document internal processes that you can include in your professional portfolio.
- Write materials aimed at mechanical and software technicians.
- Learn about our warehouse automation machinery and internal documentation workflows.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university degree program, preferably in technical writing, communications, English, journalism, computer science, or graphic design.
- You must be at least in your final year of undergraduate studies.
- A portfolio featuring at least three writing samples that demonstrate your experience.
- Familiarity with topic-based writing, structured authoring, and single-sourcing.
- Experience with tools like MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar software.
- Ability to research writing standards and maintain technical accuracy.
- A self-motivated approach to working both independently and within a team.

- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in Plano, Texas.
- No remote work or relocation assistance is available for this position.
