About the role#
This Summer 2027 internship provides hands-on experience in finance operations. You will work with experienced professionals to support financial planning, reporting, analysis, and process improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Round Rock, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Develop and maintain models used to calculate fully burdened cost rates.
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of budgets across various functional areas.
- Support finance team activities related to external audits.
- Contribute to special projects involving deferred revenue recognition and financial reporting.
- Learn and support monthly financial close and reporting processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in developing reports, dashboards, and analytical tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
- Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to real-world business challenges.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Entering junior or senior year of undergraduate studies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Coursework in GAAP, accounting principles, financial reporting, or related subjects.
- Previous internship, co-op, project, leadership, or work experience in a professional environment.
- Experience using data analysis tools, dashboards, or reporting platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
