    About the role#

    This internship is part of the Oracle Veteran Internship Program (OVIP). It is designed to support transitioning military veterans and active-duty military spouses as they move into corporate roles. You will work alongside corporate leadership, veteran coaches, and HR professionals to build your civilian career. The program provides hands-on job training and professional development within the OCI Software Engineering team.

    What you'll do#

    • Implement and operate highly available, massive scale, integrated cloud services in a distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment.
    • Collaborate with diverse teams to build high-quality solutions.
    • Participate in agile development methodologies.
    • Engage in on-the-job training and professional development.
    • Help prepare veterans and military spouses for a successful transition to corporate roles.

    What you'll need#

    • Experience with application development.
    • Knowledge of programming in any major language, such as Java, JavaScript, C/C++, Python, or GoLang.
    • Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
    • Working familiarity with networking protocols like TCP/IP and HTTP.
    • Understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
    • Pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or Data Science.
