About the role#
As a Student Engineer at PacifiCorp, you will support the planning, design, and maintenance of transmission and distribution systems. You will work alongside staff engineers to produce technical documents and perform system analysis. This role is a part-time position with a flexible schedule, capped at 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist with engineering studies, design documents, and performance assessments.
- Analyze substation, protection, control, and distribution equipment.
- Perform electrical network data analysis and present your findings to the team.
- Review drawings to ensure they meet company and industry standards.
- Research and test equipment from suppliers.
- Update internal standards and drawings.
- Analyze system design, programming, and modifications.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in an accredited engineering college or university.
- Sophomore standing or higher in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering.
- Proficiency with personal computers and automated tools.
- Ability to work well with project teams and across different departments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Compensation: $23.00 to $28.00 per hour.
