About the role#
This is a part-time internship for students interested in transportation and logistics. You will work with sales, administrative, service, and operations teams to gain hands-on experience in the industry. This position involves managing vehicle inventory and supporting customer accounts.
What you'll do#
- Manage and oversee a large fleet of vehicles.
- Match vehicle demand with current availability.
- Handle the full inbound and outbound sales process.
- Generate new business leads while maintaining existing customer relationships.
- Coordinate all aspects of customer accounts to ensure satisfaction.
- Complete additional projects and tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to drive Penske vehicles, including 26-foot box trucks.
- At least 6 months of retail sales or customer service experience is preferred.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish are preferred.
- Ability to make independent decisions, work in a team, and maintain a positive attitude.
- You must be able to pass a background investigation, drug screening, and maintain a driver qualification file as required by the Department of Transportation.
