About the role#
This internship supports the daily operations of the main golf shop at Pinehurst Resort. You will work alongside our staff to manage shop functions, assist members, and support golf events. This position is open to students currently enrolled in a Professional Golf Management program.
What you'll do#
- Perform daily opening and closing procedures for the shop.
- Manage point of sale transactions and schedule tee times.
- Assist with monthly inventory control and general shop maintenance.
- Respond to guest inquiries via email and telephone.
- Participate in continuing education and cross-training programs.
- Support member committees during events.
- Maintain shop supplies and ensure guest expectations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a two or four-year college or university with an accredited Professional Golf Management program.
- A positive team attitude and strong customer service skills.
- General knowledge of the Rules of Golf.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Awareness of your surroundings in a golf environment, including the ability to react to errant golf balls.
