About the role#
Lodgco Hospitality is seeking an Operations Intern for the Courtyard by Marriott located on the Central Michigan University campus. This rotational program provides hands-on experience in hotel operations over a semester or 10-week period. You will work across various departments to learn daily hotel procedures and gain practical experience in frontline hospitality.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through the front office, housekeeping, food and beverage outlets, and sales departments.
- Learn daily hotel operations, policies, and internal rules.
- Provide service to guests and anticipate their needs.
- Attend regular meetings with the General Manager to track your progress.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Ensure all school-specific internship requirements are met.
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree or certification in the hospitality industry or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on hotel needs.
- Unrestricted work authorization in the United States.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods, walk, kneel, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Successful completion of a criminal background screening.
