About the role#
The Investment Banking Summer Associate program is a full-time, paid internship for students currently enrolled in an MBA program. This role serves as a direct pipeline to potential full-time positions at Piper Sandler. You will work within an industry team to gain hands-on experience in the financial services sector.
What you'll do#
- Contribute directly to live deals and active projects.
- Attend a one-week orientation program with the Summer Associate intern class.
- Take part in training sessions and team building activities.
- Work with a peer mentor and a senior mentor throughout the summer.
- Gain exposure to mergers and acquisitions, along with equity and debt capital markets.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a full-time MBA program as of fall 2026.
- A clear interest in building a career in investment banking.
- Availability for a full-time summer internship in 2027.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
- Enthusiasm for working hard as part of a team.

- This role is based on-site in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- The internship takes place during the summer of 2027.
- The starting salary for this position is $175,000 per year.
