About the role#
Platform Accounting Group is hiring a Tax Intern for the Winter 2027 season. This position provides an introduction to the tax busy season. You will work on-site in our Danville, California office from January through April 16, 2027. This is a paid, full-time internship that offers flexibility to accommodate your school schedule.
What you'll do#
- Identify and resolve technical tax issues.
- Prepare federal and state tax filings for business entities, including C-corporations, S-corporations, partnerships, and individual income, gift, and estate tax returns.
- Research tax matters and use tax-related software to support various projects.
- Assist professional tax preparers with general office duties.
- Maintain client relationships by demonstrating knowledge of their business and finances.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration program.
- Interest in a career within the public accounting industry.
- Strong technical skills in accounting and tax.
- Proficiency with office technology and software.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and work effectively in a team.
- A record of high performance in academics and extra-curricular activities.
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
