    About the role#

    The Financial Compliance Intern will work with the finance compliance team to monitor adherence to federal prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements. This role focuses on supporting regulatory compliance and internal documentation processes during the Summer 2027 term.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist in preparing reports and summaries for internal compliance reviews.
    • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and accounting staff to resolve wage classification or documentation questions.
    • Maintain accurate records and generate audit reports.
    • Support the procurement process, including supplier contracting and maintaining vendor relationships.
    • Track compliance with federal prevailing wage regulations and review fringe benefit documentation.

    What you'll need#

    • Junior or Senior-level student status pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
    • Strong focus and precision with keen attention to detail.
    • Effective communication skills for both written and in-person interactions.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and solve problems analytically.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
    • The position is available for the Summer 2027 term.
