About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain experience in IT Security, Risk, and Compliance within a biotechnology research environment. You will contribute to high-impact projects and participate in professional development activities, leadership presentations, and community programs. Near the end of the term, you will showcase your work through a final presentation.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with Risk and Compliance Managers on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) program activities, including IT Risk Management, IT SOX Compliance, Security Governance, and Disaster Recovery.
- Participate in control assessments and gain exposure to various methodologies and frameworks.
- Conduct research and support data analysis.
- Create documentation, process flows, and work papers to support program objectives.
- Engage in projects across IT Risk and Compliance domains.
- Work with stakeholders across IT and business departments to gather information and complete cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory projects.
- Contribute to additional information security tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD, or PhD program in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Ability to commit to a full-time internship for 10-12 consecutive weeks between May and August 2027.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be independently authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship.
