About the role#
Raymond is hiring a Mechanical Designer Intern to support our mechanical engineering team. You will work on building systems, including HVAC and plumbing design, for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. This role provides hands-on experience and mentorship from experienced engineers in a collaborative setting.
What you'll do#
- Assist mechanical engineers with research, design tasks, and technical project support.
- Develop mechanical system drawings, specifically HVAC and plumbing layouts.
- Use AutoCAD and Revit for drafting and modeling activities.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and data collection.
- Help prepare project documentation and technical reports.
- Work with project teams to meet deadlines and communicate progress.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering program or status as a junior in high school.
- Strong math and science skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Exposure to AutoCAD or Revit, or a willingness to learn these tools.
- Interest in mechanical engineering and building systems design.

- This role is based in Conyers, Georgia.
- Work modality options include remote, on-site, or hybrid arrangements.
- This is a paid, full-time internship position.
