About the role#
As a Test Engineering Intern in Long Beach, you will join the Space Systems team. This group develops software to test hardware destined for space. You will work alongside production and engineering teams to debug issues and support design and manufacturing. This position is for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Apply engineering concepts to solve real-world technical challenges.
- Support the development of test software for space hardware.
- Debug and provide support for design and manufacturing issues.
- Attend regular 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors to track progress.
- Participate in tech talks and connect with other team members through social and professional events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate program in computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, or electrical engineering.
- At least one semester of school remaining after the internship.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
- A minimum of 3 months of applied engineering experience, including internships, laboratory work, or personal projects.
- Preferred: A GPA of 3.5 or above.
- Preferred: 6+ months of applied engineering experience.
- Preferred: Experience with JavaScript and Python.
- Preferred: Experience in software design, data wrangling, and software deployment.
- Preferred: Familiarity with electrical test equipment and instrumentation.

- Location: Long Beach, California.
- Modality: On-site.
- Duration: Full-time for at least 12 consecutive weeks, starting in May or June 2027.
- Compensation: $28.00 per hour.
