    About the role#

    As a Flight Software Intern, you will join the MAX Flight Software team in Littleton, Colorado. You will focus on designing and testing flight software while improving testing capabilities against emulated hardware. This position requires a full-time, on-site commitment for at least 12 consecutive weeks starting in January, February, or March 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Design and test flight software.
    • Enhance testing abilities against emulated hardware.
    • Work with a mentor and team members to apply your technical knowledge.
    • Solve real engineering challenges by applying industry concepts.
    • Attend regular 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors to track progress.
    • Participate in tech talks and connect with the team through professional and social events.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a bachelor’s, master's, or doctorate program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
    • At least one semester of school remaining after the internship.
    • A minimum GPA of 3.0.
    • At least 3 months of applied engineering experience, which can include internships, laboratory work, or personal and team projects.
    • Preferred qualifications include a 3.5 GPA or higher, 6+ months of applied engineering experience, and programming skills in C, C++, Python, or Rust.
    • Familiarity with Git is also preferred.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Littleton, Colorado.
    • Term: Winter 2027.
    • Compensation: $27.00 per hour.
    • This role is paid and full-time. No visa sponsorship is available for this position.
