About the role#
As a Technical Sales Co-op with the Perception team at OTTO by Rockwell Automation, you will gain exposure to advanced robotics systems. You will learn to communicate complex technical concepts in accessible terms for a broad range of customers. You will work alongside experienced technical sales professionals who will mentor you in building customer relationships and helping clients choose the solutions that meet their goals.
What you'll do#
- Handle incoming customer inquiries by email, phone, and online channels.
- Assist with customer correspondence, outreach campaigns, and follow-ups.
- Process customer orders with attention to detail.
- Provide customers with product information, pricing, and availability.
- Resolve customer issues and escalate complex challenges to senior team members.
- Maintain customer records in internal databases.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and marketing teams to ensure customers receive accurate information.
- Participate in sales operations projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's or advanced degree program at an accredited college or university in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering, computer science, business, or a related technical field.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Availability for an 8-12 month full-time co-op term.
- Residence within 50 miles of the Waterloo office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A customer-focused mindset and interpersonal skills.
- Experience or interest in robotics, automation, or industrial technology.
- Familiarity with data management tools such as Excel or Salesforce.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
- Comfort working with structured data and technical curiosity.
Location & details#
- Location: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with in-office attendance required on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
- Compensation: $20/hour to $32/hour, based on skills, education, and experience.
