About the role#
As a Technology Risk Consulting Intern, you will work with businesses across industries such as manufacturing, real estate, financial services, and healthcare. You will gain hands-on experience by working directly with client leadership and executive management. This role focuses on helping organizations transform their technology risk management and assurance capabilities to align with their business strategies.
What you'll do#
- Develop an understanding of client needs, their business operations, industry standards, and internal control systems.
- Assist in the design and optimization of controls by applying knowledge of business processes and information technology.
- Identify internal control deficiencies, assess risk implications, and provide advice to clients.
- Prepare internal control documentation to support client engagements.
- Engage with client leadership to discuss strategies for anticipating emerging technology risks.
- Participate in projects including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, System and Controls reporting, IT controls testing, and internal audits of security and ERP systems.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 90 credit hours.
- Current enrollment in a B.A. or B.S. degree program in Accounting, Business Administration, or Computer Science.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective multi-tasking and project management abilities.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- High degree of integrity and professionalism.
- Pursuit of certifications such as CPA, CISA, or CIA is preferred but not required.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: This is an on-site, full-time position.
- Travel: You may be required to travel to client locations and must arrange your own reliable transportation.
- Compensation: $35 to $41 per hour.
