About the role#
Ryan is hiring a Tax Consulting Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Plano, Texas. You will work alongside tax experts to serve multi-state companies and help identify tax savings opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Identify tax savings opportunities for multi-state clients.
- Assist with state and local tax controversies, including preparing for auditor discussions and protests.
- Research and draft technical memoranda regarding tax issues.
- Respond to inquiries from clients and tax authorities.
- Review documentation and perform detailed calculations using raw data.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or Economics.
- Graduation date within one year of the internship.
- Minimum overall and major GPA of 2.8.
- Completion of 6 to 12 accounting hours, depending on the specific practice.
- Valid driver's license.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively both independently and in a team.
