About the role#
S&B is looking for a Civil/Structural Engineer Intern to support routine design assignments. You will work under close supervision to build your technical skills and gain experience with civil and structural design procedures. This role is designed to help you apply your academic knowledge to real project work.
What you'll do#
- Prepare simple design and construction drawings based on sketches or verbal instructions.
- Use manual or computer-assisted drafting tools to complete design tasks.
- Perform calculations and prepare sketches for specific project segments.
- Update computer lists and proofread reports.
- Use vendor prints, technical manuals, and catalogs to gather project information.
- Assist with field assignments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program for Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate study.
- Working knowledge of computer software and automated design equipment.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
