About the role#
As a Process Engineering Intern, you will perform routine assignments under the supervision of senior engineers and specialists. You will work within a multi-discipline team to help develop and deliver projects. This role involves daily face-to-face interaction and collaboration with your team members.
What you'll do#
- Gather operating data and equipment information during field trips to existing plants.
- Assist in preparing equipment specifications, inquiry documents, and purchase requisitions.
- Evaluate vendor bids and drawings to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Help maintain equipment lists, piping line lists, and specialty item lists.
- Contribute to the creation of design guides, guide specifications, and contract proposals.
- Provide technical guidance to design personnel.
- Participate in plant start-up activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Proficiency in mathematical concepts including geometry, trigonometry, and statistical inference.
