About the role#
As a Structural Engineer Intern, you will join our Energy & Industrial Group. You will work alongside our Power Generation and Oil & Gas engineering teams. You will contribute to projects involving new designs, modifications, and upgrades for power generation, oil & gas production, gas transmission, renewables, and carbon-capture infrastructure. You will work under the direction of senior engineers to apply your academic background to real-world projects.
What you'll do#
- Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
- Track and evaluate project activities, progress, and data.
- Participate in system designs and prepare specifications for the procurement of major industrial energy equipment.
- Use data and modern tools, including automation and AI, to improve workflows and deliver cost-effective designs.
- Verify engineering results using your own engineering judgment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- A strong academic background in structural analysis, the behavior of materials, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently.
- The ability to identify issues, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
