About the role#
Lake Country Co-op is hiring a full-time Project Sales Representative to join our Home and Building Centre in Big River, Saskatchewan. This role focuses on using industry knowledge and sales estimating skills to grow our project sales. You will report to the Home Centre Team Leader and work with internal and external partners to ensure successful project execution.
What you'll do#
- Model the vision, mission, and safety principles of the co-operative while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
- Provide an exceptional customer experience across all interactions.
- Collaborate with Home Centre Team Leaders to implement pricing, merchandising, and promotional strategies.
- Coordinate project fulfillment to ensure accurate and timely delivery of customer orders.
- Support daily retail operations, including inventory control and store readiness.
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and retail customers to generate repeat business.
- Conduct project consultations to assess needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Prepare quotes and material takeoffs using estimating software.
- Manage the project lifecycle by tracking progress and following up with customers.
- Resolve customer concerns to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
What you'll need#
- Five or more years of sales experience in home improvement, construction, or retail, with a record of achieving targets and margin growth.
- Strong construction knowledge, including the ability to interpret building plans, material takeoffs, and specifications.
- Familiarity with building codes and industry trends.
- Experience in project estimating and quoting using relevant systems.
- Ability to consult with contractors and customers to identify needs and deliver solutions.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple timelines.
- Effective communication skills for in-person, phone, and digital channels.
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license and the ability to perform physical requirements of a home centre environment.
