About the role#
Simmons Foods offers a summer internship program focused on Pet Food Sales. You will work on real projects that address current business challenges and present your findings to senior leaders. This role provides a mix of project work and daily tasks to help you learn the fundamentals of our processes. You will also contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying ways to reduce waste and improve our systems.
What you'll do#
- Complete a project that aligns with your field of study and present the results to leadership.
- Handle daily tasks to gain a practical understanding of business operations.
- Participate in team meetings and support company programs and policies.
- Communicate ideas and concerns regarding operating systems to help improve performance.
- Ensure work meets quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Agriculture.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of business and management principles.
- Ability to work on your feet for multiple hours.
- Ability to lift at least 10 pounds.
