About the role#
As an Analyst at SPMB, you will join the team responsible for building leadership teams at innovative companies. This role combines research, technology, and human insight to support executive searches. You will work alongside experienced search professionals and engage with investors, founders, and senior executives across the venture capital, private equity, and public company sectors.
What you'll do#
- Develop research strategies and draft reports that outline targeted companies and industries.
- Identify top-quality executives who have contributed to the success of their organizations to ensure strong candidate flow.
- Use large language models to analyze market segments, new industries, and competitive environments.
- Design AI prompts to extract strategic insights regarding companies, executives, and industries.
- Analyze the functional breakdown and roles within executive structures.
- Maintain high data quality for candidate and company records within firm databases.
What you'll need#
- A minimum of one year of experience in a sales, professional services, or consulting environment.
- Practical experience using large language models like Gemini or ChatGPT for the strategic research of complex projects.
- Proficiency in prompt engineering and the use of AI-assisted tools.
- Experience managing multiple projects with competing deadlines and working with people who have different communication styles.
- Familiarity with business research tools such as Crunchbase and PitchBook.
- A bachelor's degree in a field such as Business Administration, Data Science, Economics, Marketing, or Political Science.
