About the role#
This is a paid, part-time internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site at our Scottsdale, Arizona office for 10 to 12 weeks. You will gain hands-on experience in the aviation industry by supporting our finance team with daily accounting, bookkeeping, and process improvement tasks. You will also work alongside leadership and cross-functional teams to help with data-driven decision-making.
What you'll do#
- Assist with general accounting tasks, including journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts at month end.
- Prepare sales and gross margin reports and help with annual operating plan schedules.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Build and maintain financial models to track business performance and trends.
- Create management reports, dashboards, and presentations for executives.
- Analyze operational data to identify risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with teams across the company to understand business drivers and improve reporting efficiency.
- Support automation initiatives within FP&A and help with ad-hoc projects.
- Handle filing and general administrative duties.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and experience with accounting software or spreadsheets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong focus on Excel.
- Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Self-directed, flexible, and results-oriented mindset.
- Physical ability to sit and view a computer monitor for long periods.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Oracle, or SAP is a plus.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
