About the role#
As a Junior Security Data Analyst, you will support our Security Analytics team with data processing, analysis, and visualization. You will work on our AWS infrastructure, helping to implement data governance and quality standards across pipelines to detect anomalies and malicious activity. This is a full-time, paid position based in Toronto with a hybrid work schedule.
What you'll do#
- Maintain the health of the Security Analytics AWS environment.
- Enhance data quality and documentation for tables, processes, and procedures.
- Drive data tagging efforts on historical data to support analytics use cases.
- Assist with proof-of-concept projects for new cloud technologies and tools.
- Collaborate with technology teams across security, data, analytics, cloud, and architecture departments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary degree program with a graduation date of April 2027 or later.
- A major in Computer Science with supporting business management experience, or a major in Business Management with supporting Computer Science or Engineering experience.
- Proficiency in SQL or Python.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data manipulation and presentations.
- An interest in cybersecurity and database technologies.
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively to data engineers and scientists.
- Reliability Status Clearance is required for this role.
