    About the role#

    The Aspen Policy Academy is hiring a part-time Outreach and Engagement Intern to support recruitment for our training programs. You will work with the Program and Communications Coordinator and the Strategy and Operations Manager. This role involves recruiting for webinars, short courses, and Fellowship cohorts, while staying connected with our alumni. The position is expected to last 12 months for up to 10 hours per week.

    What you'll do#

    • Create communication toolkits and emails to promote Academy events and programs.
    • Reach out to like-minded organizations and online communities to share our work.
    • Manage large contact databases and help organize recruitment timelines.
    • Use data analysis to improve our recruitment strategy.
    • Support large-scale survey projects and provide occasional WordPress website updates.
    • Track alumni impact, including career milestones and media mentions.
    • Create and post social media content.
    • Assist with operational tasks and attend Academy training sessions.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in communications, political science, or a related field.
    • Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Proven reliability and effective time management.
    • Experience in content development or communications.
    • High attention to detail.
    • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
    • A genuine interest in policy, nonprofit work, and digital communications.

    Location & details#

    • This is a paid, part-time internship.
    • The role is remote, but candidates based in San Francisco, California, are preferred to utilize our local office space.
