About the role#
We are looking for a Contracts Intern to join us for the Summer 2027 term. This role is based on-site in McLean, Virginia. You will gain hands-on experience in contract management while supporting our team with documentation and process improvement projects.
What you'll do#
- Prepare, review, and organize contract documentation, including NDAs, subcontract agreements, task orders, and modifications.
- Manage contract data entry, tracking, and archival tasks within our internal systems.
- Research regulatory requirements, industry standards, and specific contract terms.
- Create summaries of contract requirements and deliverables.
- Lead a strategic project focused on optimizing internal processes and procedures.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives.
- Perform administrative tasks related to contract files and reporting.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Government, Political Science, Supply Chain, or Finance, with an expected graduation date in Summer 2028 or Summer 2029.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with contract management, procurement, or compliance processes.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and pay strict attention to detail.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
- Experience with SharePoint or contract management tools is a plus, as is knowledge of government contracting, FAR, DFARS, or contract law.
