About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in either Dallas or Fort Worth, Texas. As an intern, you will support project teams in administration, field engineering, and field supervision. You will gain hands-on experience in the project management, superintendent, or preconstruction career paths while working alongside our professional staff.
What you'll do#
- Support the documentation, procurement of materials, and quality management of construction projects.
- Interpret and maintain construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Assist with submittal logs, RFI logs, meeting minutes, and as-built drawings.
- Review and expedite shop drawings and submittals.
- Update project schedules and use project management software.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
- Assist with project closeout documentation.
- Enforce OSHA and Beck safety standards, conduct site-specific safety orientations, and perform regular inspections.
- Identify subcontract scope gaps and manage punch lists.
What you'll need#
- Current college student pursuing a degree in construction or a related field. High school students with a strong interest in construction may also be considered.
- A fundamental understanding of project documents.
- Ability to follow direction, collaborate with team members, and complete assigned tasks.
- Previous internships within architectural, engineering, or commercial construction are preferred.
- Experience with Excel, Bluebeam, and Revit or similar construction technologies is a plus.
