About the role#
As a Counterparty Credit Risk Intern, you will gain exposure to how DTCC assesses and monitors the credit risk profile of member firms, treasury investment counterparties, and other critical third parties. You will support the team in evaluating the financial stability and creditworthiness of these firms by reviewing financial statements, regulatory filings, and macroeconomic trends. This is a 10-week summer experience that includes training, mentorship, and project work.
What you'll do#
- Assist with annual credit reviews by gathering and reviewing financial statements and regulatory filings.
- Support ongoing surveillance of monthly and quarterly financial data and market developments.
- Maintain and update tools and trackers, including the credit risk rating matrix model.
- Analyze team procedures to identify opportunities to streamline processes and support automation.
- Participate in team meetings, research efforts, and cross-functional initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
- Expected graduation date of Spring 2028.
- Minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
