About the role#
The Goddard School in Rock Hill is hiring a part-time Assistant Teacher. This role is designed for students who want hands-on experience in early childhood education. You will work afternoons from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM in a supportive team environment. We offer flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional development.
What you'll do#
- Engage with children through play and daily activities.
- Help create a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom.
- Support the social-emotional development of our students.
- Work closely with Lead Teachers and your team members.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- A genuine interest in working with young children.
- Reliable, professional, and strong communication skills.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Preferred majors include Psychology or Sociology.
